The College of Pharmacy at the Taipei Medical University includes the School of Pharmacy, the Graduate Institute of Pharmacognosy, and the School of Bioresource Technology. The main mission of this premier pharmacy college is to focus on the quality of its education, research and professional clinical services.

The School of Pharmacy initiated a four-year baccalaureate degree program in 1960. A total of 7210 pharmacy students have graduated from this School. The School of Pharmacy is responsible for educating individuals in the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to provide essential pharmaceutical services within the health care delivery system and pharmaceutical industries. The B.S. professional program provides the basic preparation for pharmaceutical practice in hospitals, community pharmacies, health organization, extended care facilities, industries and government.

The School of Bioresource Technology is a continuing education for the junior college graduates and offers a three-year B.S. degree program. It provides basic training and skills needed in Chinese Traditional Medicine or herbalogy and biotechnology.

The Graduate Program in the Pharmaceutical Sciences offers opportunities for research and career development in Master and Ph.D. levels. It emphasizes on an interdisciplinary program, giving graduate students a more comprehensive approach to research in the pharmaceutical sciences at the chemistry/biology interface with four research cores: Drug Discovery (including Natural products), Drug Action, Drug Delivery, and Drug Clinical Evaluation. The coexistence of the discovery process coupled with assessing mechanisms of action provides the basis for modern drug development. The pharmaceutical sciences further amplify the need for providing means to adequately deliver the drug to the organism for its intended use.
